BTS Living Donor Forum & Winter Ethics Symposium 2019

Thursday 28th November 2019

The Park Inn By Radisson Blu
North Street
York YO1 6JF

The BTS Living Donor Forum & Winter Ethics Symposium will once again join forces in autumn 2019 for a one day meeting, which this year will be on the theme of Incentivising Living Donation. The meeting will again incorporate the prestigious Hoffenberg Memorial Lecture, which commemorates Sir Raymond "Bill" Hoffenberg's manifold contributions to medicine and in particular to clinical transplantation. The programme has been chosen to incorporate discussion around the challenges of incentivising living donation, with particular focus on groups that are currently under-represented. The programme will include contributions from clinicians and clinical scientists, as well as featuring small group case-based discussion and a lively debate. The meeting takes place on Thursday 28th November at the Park Inn by Radisson, York, and we anticipate that it will attract approximately 100-120 delegates from across the transplantation community. Support from industry partners is sought to help meet the costs of scientific content and administration.

Cancellation Policy

The conference venues and hotels require final numbers for attendance 5 working days before the first day of the event, after which time there is a liability for 100% of the costs. BTS is a not-for-profit association and cannot afford to pay such costs. Therefore we have the following policies for all attendees to be absolutely clear in cases of cancellation or no-show:

  • Attendees who cancel their attendance 30 working days before the event will receive a full refund.
  • Attendees who cancel their attendance between 23rd October and the 20th November will be offered a refund less a £30 administration fee.
  • Attendees who cancel their attendance 5 working days or less before the conference or indeed who do not arrive at the conference will be charged the full conference registration fee.
  • Payment for travel and accommodation is the responsibility of the delegate and no responsibility can be assumed by BTS for costs incurred in the event of a late cancellation.
